Public Hearing Notices
The City of Claremont notices businesses and residents on proposed developments, appeals, and community projects. Each notice contains details of the project as well as information on the public comment process. The City is legally required to notice properties within 300 feet; however, the City may increase the area of notice if the impact of a project will extend beyond the standard notice radius.

The Architectural and Preservation Commission will review a proposed single-story addition and exterior remodel, new porch, new landscaping, and lot coverage exception to an existing 846-square-foot single-story single-family residence located at 319 West Sixth Street. Planning Commission Public Hearing - Amendment to Prohibited Form of Signs
The Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider a City-initiated amendment to Prohibited Form of Signs, Section 18.010.010(B) of the Claremont Municipal Code. The proposal would amend the Claremont Municipal Code by adding an exception to the Citywide prohibition on rotating, revolving, or otherwise moving signs designed to attract attention by visual means through the movement or semblance of movement of the sign to allow “display of cars on raised and/or rotating platforms in the Commercial Freeway (CF) zone for auto dealerships selling primarily new vehicles." The proposal affects the area within the Commercial Freeway District only. The proposed changes accommodate a request from the Claremont Knight Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram auto dealership. Planning Commission Review - New Three-Story Mixed-Use Residential Building in the Claremont Village (115 Harvard Place)
The Planning Commission held a hearing to review a proposed request for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for the development of a new three-story mixed-use residential building located at 115 Harvard Place in the Claremont Village. New residential development may be permitted in the CV Claremont Village District with approval of a conditional use permit, provided the residential development is one component of a larger mixed-use development. Such mixed-use development shall include commercial uses on the ground floor. More specifically, the proposal is for a 2,715-square-foot three-story building with a commercial tenant space on the first floor and four residential units throughout the first through third stories. The design of the proposed building will be reviewed by the Architectural and Preservation Commission at their upcoming meeting on September 10, 2025.
