Enrollment for Camp Claremont opens online on Sunday, April 13 at 8:00 a.m. Participants who register online will have the $15 enrollment fee waived.

In-person registration begins at the Alexander Hughes Community Center on Monday, April 14 at 9:00 a.m. Please note that participants must have completed kindergarten to be eligible for camp.

Need-based scholarships are available for families who meet income eligibility requirements. Scholarship applications must be submitted at least one week prior to registration for review and approval. Scholarships must be approved before registering your child for camp, as same-day approvals are not available, and scholarships cannot be applied retroactively.

As a volunteer, you’ll work alongside our staff, assisting with daily camp operations from 7:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Volunteers will help supervise participants, set up and tear down daily activities, and assist staff in the snack bar. Committing to all 6 weeks of camp is required to ensure consistency and a smooth experience for participants. Volunteers must also communicate with supervisors in advance if they are unable to attend a scheduled day.

By joining the Camp Claremont Volunteer Program, you’ll demonstrate your ability, attitude, and dependability in a professional setting. Volunteers will receive a Camp Claremont T-shirt to wear daily and are expected to maintain a professional demeanor while working with staff, participants, and other volunteers.

A $30 non-refundable application fee is required to apply for the program. Please note, this fee does not guarantee acceptance into the volunteer program.

Camp Claremont is a six-week day camp designed for children entering grades 1-6. Held Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Taylor Hall (1775 N. Indian Hill Blvd), the camp offers fun activities like arts and crafts, sports, games, and exciting weekly themes to keep kids engaged and active throughout the summer.

Camp Claremont is open to children who live in or attend school within the City of Claremont. Proof of residency is required at the time of enrollment or when creating a new online account.

Online Registration: Opens Sunday, April 13 at 8:00 a.m. Participants who register online will have the $15 application fee waived.

Campers will enjoy a variety of fun activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and exciting weekly themes such as “To Infinity and Beyond” and “Wildlife Wonders.” Each week brings new adventures to keep participants engaged and entertained.

The Volunteer Program is for students entering grades 8-12 who have completed 7th grade. Volunteers assist staff with daily operations, including supervising participants, setting up and tearing down activities, and working in the snack bar. This is a great opportunity for teens to gain valuable job experience, build leadership skills, and enhance college applications.

Volunteers must:

Campers should wear comfortable clothing and their Camp Claremont jersey (communal or purchased). Bringing water bottles, sunscreen, and a small snack is recommended.

Weekly themes include fun topics like “Under the Sea” and “Sportacular Summer.” A dropdown menu with descriptions, dates, and ActiveNet registration links will be available on the website for each week of camp.
