City Launches Active Transportation Plan

The City of Claremont is developing an Active Transportation Plan (ATP) that will aim to make Claremont more walkable, bikeable, and transit-oriented to advance the City’s equity, sustainability, and livability goals. The City has hired Alta Planning and Design to develop the plan based on public feedback gathered through outreach events. 

Alta kicked off the public engagement phase 1 on October 11, 2026 at the City's Spooktacular event. Alta gathered feedback at the event using an interactive map and gave away candy at their booth. Alta will also have a booth at Village Venture on October 25, 2025 from 9am to 5pm. In November, Alta will host a series of workshops.

Alta launched its project website on October 10, 2025.
