Mark your calendars for the Spring Document Shredding Event on Thursday, September 24, from 9am to 12pm at the Alexander Hughes Community Center (1700 Danbury Road). A suggested $20 donation supports the Claremont Senior Program’s Emergency Fund, helping local seniors avoid evictions and essential utility shutoffs during unexpected financial hardships.

This event is sponsored by Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services—every shred helps!

Document Shredding Tips

• Shredding service will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Please bring documents in large bags, not boxes.
• The limit is three large trash bags per person.
• The shredder can accept staples and folders but cannot process binders.
• Tax records should generally be kept for five to seven years. Please consult with your CPA before shredding any tax documents.
• The last shredding will be accepted promptly at 12pm.
