The Alexander Hughes Center Cooling Center will have extended hours though August 2. Monday - Thursday: 9am to 9pm and Friday - Sunday: 9am to 6pm.

Each year, the Independence Day Committee accepts nominations for a Grand Marshal, an Honored Citizen, and an Honored Community Group to be recognized at the 4th of July Celebration. Nominees must live, work, attend school, or have graduated from a school in Claremont.
This year’s Grand Marshal is Gary Goltz, the Honored Citizen is Jack Mills, and the Honored Community Group is Active Claremont. Honorees will be presented with certificates at the Honoree Recognition and will also appear in the official parade on July 4, 2026.
