The Alexander Hughes Community Center is temporarily closed due to an unplanned system issue. A maintenance crew is actively addressing the issue, and we will reopen the community center when the repairs are complete. All scheduled activities, including classes, meetings, and ABC for Me preschool, have been cancelled or relocated through May 2.

The 2026 Independence Day Committee invites Claremont students to be a part of the 76th Annual 4th of July Celebration by participating in the National Anthem Contest. Auditions will be held on April 15, 2026, at 7pm in the Grove Room of the Alexander Hughes Community Center (1700 Danbury Rd).
The winner will receive fireworks tickets, a special place in the parade and will perform the National Anthem at the Fireworks Show and Honoree Recognition. Runners-up may be selected to perform at Concerts in the Park. The deadline to submit an entry in the National Anthem Contest is April 9, 2026.
