Household Hazardous Waste & E-Waste Round Up

The Los Angeles County Sanitation District will host a FREE Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Drive-Thru Collection Event on Saturday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the LA County Fair, Hotel & Exposition Complex, located at 
2118 N. White Avenue • Gate 9, Area 4 Pomona, CA 91750.

HHW items includes any product labeled: toxic, poison, combustible, corrosive, flammable, or irritant.  Common types of HHW include electronic waste, paints, pesticides, lubricants, drain cleaners, fluorescent light bulbs, prescription medication, and batteries. There is a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of waste per trip.

Household hazardous waste and electronic waste should be carefully placed in a sturdy box, preferably in their original containers. Items should be secured in the trunk or truck bed with no other items for efficient collection. Sharps disposal will require exiting your vehicle to deposit them in a bin.
