Drug Take Back Event

The Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) is partnering with Claremont PD for a Drug Take-Back Event on Saturday, April 26 from 10am to 2pm at the Claremont Police Department. KGI School of Pharmacy students and Police Department volunteers will accept unneeded or expired medications. Medications can be in solid or liquid form. Inhalers and sharps (syringes, insulin pens, lancets) will also be accepted. The medications will be weighed and packaged by Police Department personnel and then transferred to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for final disposal.

KGI will also provide overdose education including free naloxone and fentanyl test strips given to anyone interested. Students will also be set up to do blood pressure and BMI screenings.
