Volunteer Opportunities
Friends of the Wilderness Park
The Friends of the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park works with the City of Claremont to support preservation of the natural setting of the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park and actively protect the Park’s environmental resources while maintaining access for low-impact recreation, education, and enjoyment for all, as called for in the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park Master Plan. FCHWP focuses on this support through volunteerism and education.
Individuals who want to volunteer for invasive species removal, trail work, etc. are encouraged to visit their website.

Reserve Park Ranger Program
Local citizens may apply to participate and work shoulder to shoulder with the City’s Park Rangers to:
- Promote public safety
- Provide information to visitors
- Assist in emergencies
- Inspect Park facilities
- Enforce the City's municipal code
- Monitor/verify park usage permits, public events, and organized sports groups.
