City Council Priorities Community Forum

January 7, 2026 Meeting Location: Alexander Hughes Community Center (1700 Danbury Road)

In early 2026, the City Council will develop a list of objectives and work items to guide staff’s work plan for the 2026-28 budget cycle (July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028).

As part of this process, there will be several opportunities for public participation:

A citywide survey will be available on the City’s website from December 4, 2025, through January 8, 2026.
The City hired a facilitator to host two community outreach forums.
The City Council Priorities Workshop will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 9 am. This meeting will be held in-person in the Council Chamber and there will be an opportunity for in-person public comment (same structure as regular City Council meetings). All public comments received via the survey and during the community outreach forums will be shared with the City Council for its consideration prior to the Workshop.
