The Claremont Police Department’s mission is to keep our community safe and uphold the law. Under California Senate Bill 54, there are clear rules about how local law enforcement agencies work with federal immigration authorities. This law limits cooperation with ICE, and our department strictly follows these guidelines.
This 18.2-acre park is located north of Claremont High School, west of Indian Hill Boulevard. It is one of the City’s largest parks and contains the Youth Activity Center (YAC), Taylor Hall, and Guthrie Skate Park. Taylor Hall is a large building used for meetings, classes, and is available for rent by non-profit groups. The 7,000 square foot skate park has plenty of open cement to traverse and various ledges, rails, and street obstacles. Helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads are required. Joāt Park is frequently used for community events, such as the City’s teen concerts, adult sports leagues, and large group picnics. In the summer, the park is the site of the Camp Claremont day camp.
