Starting on Monday, October 13, 2025, HP Communications will be working on installing approximately 15,000 linear feet of conduit for a future fiber optic line providing high speed communications. This communication line will be installed on Base Line Road from the western City limit to the Los Angeles/San Bernardino County line. Ultimately, they will continue this work into San Bernardino County.
This work is expected to take about 4 months to complete. The conduit will be placed by boring method which will not require a continuous open trench and will be less of an impact to traffic on Base Line Road during this time. Base Line Road will remain open to vehicular traffic with single land and shoulder closures approved. Some delays can be expected.
Work is scheduled for Monday through Thursday during normal business hours, unless Friday work is authorized. If Friday work is authorized, additional updates will be provided.
