The City recently entered into an agreement with Precision Concrete Cutting (PCC) to provide saw cutting services. Saw cutting is a way of repairing sidewalk deviations in a cost effective, clean, fast, and environmentally friendly way. PCC patented technology essentially slices the deviation away, making sidewalks ADA compliant with an attractive finish. Saw cutting is in place of sidewalk grinding. Beginning Tuesday, September 2, PCC will being saw cutting sidewalks on Indian Hill Boulevard from San Jose Avenue to American Avenue. They will then branch out to City streets south of the 10 freeway. This process will be applied to sidewalk deviations up to 2 inches.
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. These operations might cause minor dust and noise. Additionally, sidewalks may be closed for short periods of time. PCC will use appropriate traffic control and noticing as necessary. If there are any questions or concerns, please call the Community Services Department at (909) 399-5431.
