Document Shredding

Join us for the yearly Document Shredding event on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 9am to 12pm at the Alexander Hughes Community Center.  Every shred helps! A $20 donation is suggested for this fundraiser. All proceeds will go directly to the Claremont Senior Program’s Emergency Fund, which supports local seniors by preventing evictions and essential utility shutoffs due to unexpected financial hardships. Sponsored by Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services.

Document Shredding Tips

  • Please do not bring your documents in boxes. We encourage large bags instead.
  • The shredder accepts staples and folders but cannot process binders.
  • Limit per person is equivalent to three large trash bags.
  • Tax records should be kept for five to seven years. Check with your CPA.
  • Last shredding is taken promptly at 12pm.
  • Service will be first come, first served.
