The Alexander Hughes Community Center is a 31,000 square foot building located adjacent to Lewis Park. It opened in Summer 2001 and accommodates the Recreation and Human Services Department Administrative Team.

This satellite facility to the Joslyn Center is located in Blaisdell Park and is home to senior activities and the senior lunch program.

Temporary Closure : We are improving the Blaisdell Community Center’s kitchen to better serve our program participants. Although the Blaisdell Community Center will be closed for several months during construction, dining will continue to be available at the Joslyn Center.

The Community Services Department performs maintenance, solid waste, and motor fleet functions for the City. The City of Claremont's Residential Recycling Center is located at the City Yard.
