The City of Claremont will participate in the 2025 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count on its new rescheduled date, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM. This event is conducted in partnership with the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA), and the City is seeking volunteers to assist with this vital community effort.

Volunteers are essential to ensuring a successful count! Participants will meet at the Alexander Hughes Community Center, located at 1700 Danbury Road, to receive training, maps, materials, and assignments. Teams of two to four volunteers will then be deployed to count specific blocks within Claremont. The routes will be conducted from private vehicles, so no walking is required. Each team is expected to spend approximately 2-3 hours in the field.

The data collected during the count will help determine the allocation of resources and services for homeless individuals and families in Claremont and throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.
