In honor of our veterans, the City of Claremont and American Legion Keith Powell Post 78 are proud to host the annual Veterans Day Ceremony. The ceremony will take place at Memorial Park on Monday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. This event will honor those who have served in the US Armed Forces. The ceremony will include comments from the mayor and members of American Legion Post 78.
The City also displays the Claremont Heroes Banners throughout town from November through the new year. The Heroes banners honor our local veterans and active-duty service members who live (or lived) in Claremont, attend (or attended) school in Claremont, and/or have immediate family who live in Claremont. For more information, visit Heroes Banner Program.
The City will be compiling a list of Claremont businesses who are planning to offer special discounts to veterans in honor of the holiday. If your business will offer any specials, discounts, or giveaways for veterans/active-duty service members for Veterans Day, the City wants to hear from you! As a thank you, your business will be acknowledged on a flyer at the event and read from the mayor’s script on stage at the ceremony. This is a great way to give back to our service members and give recognition to Claremont businesses. If interested, please email SpecialEvents@ci.claremont.ca.us by Sunday, November 3, with your business name, special offer, requirements to redeem offer, valid offer dates, and all other information including any restrictions.
